Our 22nd Year!
This year marks the 22nd year of the Amethyst Junior Curling Camp. The camp started in Thunder Bay in 1997, and moved to Sudbury 15 years ago. Many of our campers have gone on to become provincial and national champions.
We are excited to announce that this year's camp will be in a new location: North Bay, Ontario.
North Bay offers us an absolutely great venue and an opportunity to change up the camp a bit. All curling will be done at the North Bay Granite Club on arena quality ice, and Canadore College will be the residence setting. All campers (regardless of where they live) must stay on campus with the rest of the campers.
The camp features many of the top coaches and instructors in Canada and offers three placements for young curlers: Intermediate, Advanced, and High Performance. If you're a junior or bantam age curlers (13-19), Amethyst offers you a wonderful setting to improve your curling skills and make new friends.
We will also be accepting team registrations again this year. Teams can benefit from attending the Amethyst Curling Camp together to grow their knowledge of the game. As a team, you will be able to experience many of our top coaches from Ontario and other parts of Canada. Coaches are also invited to attend with their teams.
Breaking News ... We will once again be offering a bus service to and from camp. The bus will start in Thunder Bay and travel to Nipigon, across Highway 11 to Cochrane, down through New Liskeard, to North Bay. Click on the bus information link for more information.
The year's edition will run from July 2nd to July 6th, 2018.
